Join artist & educator Annabelle Richmond-Wright for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of botanical plaster casting. You’ll learn the techniques of clay mould making and plaster casting to create your very own detailed botanical plaster tile, beautifully presented in a pine wooden frame (20cm x 20cm) ready to display.
Guided step by step, Annabelle will help you bring your creativity to life, showing you how to work with texture, form, & composition using real flowers & plants. You’ll learn how to professionally mix & pour plaster, using her tried & tested techniques to achieve stunning results.
A wide selection of flowers & plants will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own botanical materials if you wish.
In this workshop, you will:
- Make a clay mould from real plants
- Explore texture & impression using botanical & organic materials
- Learn to mix & pour plaster like a pro
- Refine & finish your plaster artwork, with optional wood staining
